I’m leaving the #CIVITASSummerCourse hosted by Laboratório da Paisagem in the beautiful City of Guimarães 26 – Capital Verde Europeia, feeling inspired, energized, and grateful for an incredible learning experience.
Over the past few days, I had the opportunity to exchange ideas with experts, practitioners, researchers, and local authorities from across Europe, all sharing the same ambition: making our cities more sustainable, accessible, and people-centred.
The discussions on Urban Freight, School Mobility, and Intermodal Public Transport highlighted how complex mobility challenges require integrated solutions, collaboration, and the willingness to learn from one another.
For me, the real value of the CIVITAS Initiative lies in its ability to connect people who believe that innovation in urban mobility is driven not only by technology and policy, but also by cooperation, shared experiences, and a common vision for the future.
A sincere thank you to the organizers Teije Gorris, Zwanet Verhoek, Marjolein van de Nadort, Jill Warren, to Anita Pinto from Município de Guimarães, speakers, and fellow participants for creating such a stimulating and collaborative environment. I’m looking forward to bringing these new insights into my work and continuing to contribute to the transition towards smarter and more sustainable mobility.
